Self-guided audio walk through Pittsburgh's Central Business District, uncovering the city's history and legends at your own pace.
AudaTours is running Steel Giants and Cultural Gems of Downtown, a self-guided audio tour through Pittsburgh's Central Business District, starting at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center at 980 Liberty Ave. It opens on Monday, October 19, and runs through December 31, with the tour window open from 12 PM to 2 PM.
The walk takes you through the heart of downtown, where steel and stone sit right next to soaring glass towers and shadowed courthouses. Along the way, you'll pass the U.S. Steel Tower, the Allegheny County Courthouse, and the Pittsburgh Playhouse, cutting through alleys where rebels once marched and past facades built from ambition. The tour focuses on the overlooked stories, courtroom scandals, and local legends that hide in plain sight, and because it's self-guided, you're in control of when to stop and listen.
