Community listening session to share perspectives on aging in the area, with refreshments and a chance to win a Block Party Box.
Age-Friendly Greater Pittsburgh is hosting a Picture This listening session at CLP - Brookline on Tuesday, October 27, from 9 AM to 10 AM. It's a morning gathering centered around a simple question: what's it like to age in your community?
The session is open to all ages, so it's not just for seniors. The organizers are looking for perspectives from across the board—people who have lived in the neighborhood for decades, those who've just moved in, and everyone in between. The goal is to hear how people experience growing older in Pittsburgh and what that looks like on the ground in their own neighborhoods. If you've got thoughts on how the city works for different ages, this is the place to share them.
There's music involved, too, which gives the morning something to lean on while the conversation happens. Between the music and the talking, refreshments are provided, and everyone who attends is entered for a chance to win a Block Party Box—a collection of party supplies and a gift card. It's a low-pressure way to spend an hour on a Tuesday morning, and you'll leave with a better sense of how your neighbors think about the community they're all aging in together.
