Second edition of the Pittsburgh Equality Gala, a 21+ LGBTQIA+ celebration with drag performances and the center's inaugural awards night.
The Pittsburgh Equality Center is hosting the 2026 Pittsburgh Equality Gala at the Kamin Science Center on Friday, November 13. It's the center's second-ever edition of the gala, and this year's theme is Connecting Communities | Celebrating Progress | Creating Tomorrow. They're billing it as a night for the Greater Pittsburgh LGBTQIA+ community, bringing together residents, leaders, allies, and advocates for an evening of celebration, inspiration, and connection.
There are two main things on the program. First, drag performances will run throughout the night. Second, the center is holding its inaugural awards night, where they'll honor extraordinary contributions with three awards: Lifetime Achievement, Community Member of the Year, and Ally of the Year. Between the performances and the awards, it's a night built around the local community showing up for itself.
If you're wondering what to wear, the suggested dress code is City Elegance, In Color, inspired by the Progress Pride flag. It's a good excuse to lean into the colors of the flag while still dressing up for the occasion. Keep in mind the night is strictly 21+, so you'll need your ID. All proceeds go to the Pittsburgh Equality Center and the LGBTQIA+ community it serves.
