Premiere of The Three Brides, a dark gothic dance production by Scorpius Dance Theatre inspired by Bram Stoker's Dracula, recommended for teens and adults.
Scorpius Dance Theatre brings The Three Brides to the Herberger Theater Center on Thursday, November 5, with two more performances following on Friday, November 6, and Saturday, November 7. All three shows start at 7:30 PM at Stage West, 222 E Monroe St in downtown Phoenix.
The Three Brides is an original dark gothic dance production inspired by Bram Stoker's Dracula, and it focuses on the count's three mysterious brides. Artistic director and choreographer Lisa Starry is returning to the vampire world she first explored with A Vampire Tale, a gothic production that ran for 16 years and toured across the United States and Europe to become one of the company's most celebrated works. This new piece runs 90 minutes with no intermission and blends contemporary dance, theatrical storytelling, and haunting gothic imagery. Starry leads a cast of 10 performers.
