All-ages Regency-inspired market with 15 local vendors and a mobile bookstore, followed by a VIP over-21s watch party of the new Sense & Sensibility film.
Arizona Science Center is hosting a Sense and Sensibility Market & Watch Party on Sunday, November 8, from 10 AM to 7 PM. It's an officially licensed Universal Pictures celebration of the new Sense and Sensibility film, and the organizers are encouraging everyone to show up in Regency-inspired looks.
The day is split into two parts. The first is an all-ages market that runs through the afternoon, with 15 curated local vendors, a mobile bookstore, a build-your-own stuffed animal experience, hair sparkles, and permanent jewelry. If you're 21 or over, there are complimentary Fetzer wine tastings. The second part starts at 4:30 PM, when the evening shifts into a VIP watch party of the new Sense and Sensibility film inside the Dorrance DOME—that part is reserved for guests 21 and over.
Proceeds from the day go to the Book Blossom Foundation, which provides books and builds libraries for at-risk youth centers and women's shelters. So, if you're going to spend the day browsing local vendors and watching a movie, it's for a cause that fits the bookish theme.
