Public health and vaccination clinic run by the Phoenix Fire Department offering vaccines for children and adults.
The Phoenix Fire Department is running a public health and vaccination clinic at Lutheran Social Services on Saturday, October 24, from 8 AM to 12 PM. It's a one-stop morning for anyone who's fallen behind on their shots or just wants to get caught up before the winter hits.
The clinic covers two different groups. For kids, they're offering a long list: meningitis, tetanus, pertussis, HPV, measles, mumps, rubella, diphtheria, hepatitis A and B, polio, pneumonia, Hib, rotavirus, varicella, influenza, RSV, and COVID-19. If you've got little ones, that's a lot of the standard childhood schedule in one place. For adults, the list is just as wide: tetanus, shingles, pneumonia, MMR, hepatitis A and B, pertussis, influenza, varicella, polio, and monkeypox.
It's worth knowing who's behind this. The Phoenix Fire Department has been doing this since 1994, and they've administered more than 300,000 vaccinations over the years. They describe the work as part of their mission, "Our Family Helping Yours," and these clinics are how they keep that going. It's not just a one-off; it's a regular part of what they do for the city.
