A free event for NASCAR fans featuring live entertainment, show cars, interactive displays and driver appearances at the Heritage & Science Park.
Phoenix Raceway is bringing its Fan Fest to Heritage & Science Park on Thursday, October 15, from 4 PM to 7 PM. It's a free event for NASCAR fans of all ages, and the afternoon is built around a few things you'll find there: live entertainment, show cars, interactive displays, and driver appearances.
The show cars are a big part of it. They're part of the Phoenix Raceway Showcar Program, which takes the track's retired racecars and pacecars out into the community so people can get up close to them at local events and gatherings across the Valley. That's exactly what's happening here—instead of seeing these cars from a distance or on a screen, you can walk right up to them. If you've got a local event of your own coming up, you can actually request a Showcar appearance by filling out a form on their site.

Between the cars, there's live entertainment and interactive displays to keep things moving, and drivers will be making appearances throughout the afternoon. It's a family-friendly setup, so it works as well for kids as it does for longtime fans. The whole thing is free, and it runs from 4 PM to 7 PM at Heritage & Science Park, 113 N 6th St, in downtown Phoenix.
