High-energy, sing-along Halloween puppet show for toddlers and young children with rod puppets and toddler-friendly music.
Old MacDonald's Pumpkin Patch plays at the Great Arizona Puppet Theater on Sunday, October 18. It's a high-energy, sing-along show for little ones, and the story is simple enough for the youngest in the house to follow: the farmer and his animal friends have to find a costume for Halloween. They use rod puppets and toddler-friendly music, and the whole thing is recommended for ages 2 to 8. If you've got kids in that range, it's a good way to get them into the Halloween spirit without anything too scary.
It's worth keeping in mind that the Great Arizona Puppet Theater doesn't just do shows for the little ones. They also program for older audiences: the Ghastly Ghostly Puppet Slam is a curated evening of short pieces by professional puppeteers, and Afterlife with Bony Tony is an adult 18+ Halloween puppet show that includes a costume contest. There's also Imagine This!, a yearly event where students from Kenilworth Elementary write original stories that the company's professional puppeteers then turn into full shows.
