The Afterlife with Bony Tony

The Afterlife with Bony Tony is the Great Arizona Puppet Theater's adult Halloween show, running Friday, October 30, from 7 PM to 9 PM. It's an 18-and-older night hosted by Bony Tony, whom they describe as "everyone's favorite bone daddy, MC and host with the most bone."

The evening pairs live puppetry with a Creature Feature screening of Big City Pizza, a 3D human-animated adventure that follows Bony delivering pizzas to creatures on his scooter on the night of the Omniball Championship, under a blood-red moon. Bony Tony is the main feature, with special appearances from Zombey and The Skeletons. The whole thing is presented by guest artist Imaginology.

There's a costume contest running alongside the show, with prizes and Bony Bags awarded to the best-dressed boneheads in the crowd. Free pizza is handed out on a first-come, first-served basis, so getting there early pays off. The production is sponsored by Imaginology, with support from the Great Arizona Puppet Theater, Blotto Films, and Skeleton Puppet Theater.

Doors open at 6:30 PM, and that's when the pizza starts going. The show itself runs from 7 PM to 9 PM at the Great Arizona Puppet Theater, 302 W. Latham St. in Phoenix. Tickets are $21.
