He was born in San Bernardino, California, and raised between the recovering steel town of Fontana and the mountain forests of Wrightwood, and he started writing songs as soon as he could hold a guitar. Years of aggressive busking and recording home demos led to record deals and constant artistic reinvention, and he's built his reputation on uncompromised artistry throughout.
