First guest of the Indigenous Identities Speaker Series, Jeremy Arviso, presents and answers questions about his artwork.
Jeremy Arviso kicks off the Indigenous Identities Speaker Series at the S'edav Va'aki Museum on Thursday, October 22, from 6 PM to 7:30 PM. He's the first guest in the series, which brings together the artists featured in the museum's latest exhibition, Indigenous Identities. The whole series is built around the artists sharing their own take on the complexity of identity and how art becomes a reflection of lived experience.
Arviso's talk focuses on the process behind Is This Where We're Headed or Are We Already Here?, the piece currently on display in the museum's changing gallery. He'll walk through how it came together, and the presentation is followed by a Q&A session where you can ask him about it directly. If you can't make it in person, there's a virtual webinar option, so you can still tune in from home.
