A witchy drag brunch themed around the Hocus Pocus movie, featuring performances by drag queen Espressa Grande at Stand Up Live Phoenix.
Espressa Grande hosts the Hocus Pocus Drag Brunch at Stand Up Live Phoenix on Sunday, October 18. It's a witchy drag experience built around the Hocus Pocus theme, billed as a show of fierce queens, fabulous looks, and magical performances. If you're into the movie, it's a natural fit for the season.
Espressa Grande doesn't just do the Hocus Pocus thing. She fronts a whole string of themed brunches at Desert Ridge Improv, including Twilight vs. Sinners, Scooby-Doo, Rocky Horror, Trailer Trash Drag Bingo, and Prince vs. Michael Jackson. This one just happens to be the Hocus Pocus edition, so if you've caught her other themed brunches, you've got an idea of what to expect: a drag show centered on a specific pop culture hook, with the costumes and the energy following suit.

On the practical side, the room runs a two-drink minimum per person. Seating is first come, first served, with hosts assigning seats when you arrive. If you're coming with a group and want to be sure you're sitting together, you can book a reserved table by phone or email. For larger parties, groups of 20 or more are eligible for exclusive food and beverage packages that come with guaranteed reserved seating. One thing to keep in mind: there are no refunds. It's a Sunday brunch, so plan accordingly.
