Free family-friendly morning at the animal rescue Heidi's Village to meet adoptable dogs and cats, browse local vendors and learn about the shelter's programmes.
Heidi's Village is hosting its Fall Festival on Saturday, October 24, from 10 AM to 1 PM. It's a family-friendly morning at their Phoenix location, and the whole thing is built around the animals that come through their doors.
The main draw is the chance to meet adoptable dogs and cats, with an adoption team on hand to answer questions and help you figure out if one of them is a good fit for your home. There are dozens of animals at the Village waiting for a place to go, so if you've been thinking about adding a pet to your family, this is a good time to start looking. You can spend as much or as little time as you like with them, and the staff is there to walk you through the process.
Beyond the animals, there will be local vendors and rescue partners set up around the event. The proceeds from their sales go toward supporting animals in need, so whatever you pick up helps out. When you're not browsing, you can take a self-guided walk through the facility to see how the organization works and learn about the programs, resources, and services they offer the community. It's a good way to get a sense of what they do beyond the rescue side of things.
