High-energy house, pop and electronic set by DJ Meredith Marks, reality TV star from 'The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City', at The Van Buren.
DJ Meredith Marks brings her YOU. CAN. DANCE. tour to The Van Buren on Thursday, November 5, with doors opening at 7 PM and the set starting at 8 PM. It's a single-act night, so she's the only one on the bill.
If you're coming from the reality TV side of things, you know her as a star of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. This is her other life: she's an entrepreneur who launched a DJ career, and she describes her sets as high-energy blends of house, pop, and electronic music. That's the sound she's touring with—house beats mixed with pop hooks and electronic textures, kept at a dance-floor pace.
The Van Buren is a good fit for it. It's an 1,800-capacity music club in Downtown Phoenix, housed in a historic 1929 automotive showroom designed by Lescher and Mahoney. It's on the National Register of Historic Places, and the space keeps its original brickwork, exposed rafters, and a large Sonoran Desert mural. It's a big room with plenty of space to move around.
