Chief Curator Diana Pardue leads a curator talk exploring the Milestones exhibition and the Hope & John L. Furth Collection.
Diana Pardue, chief curator at the Heard Museum, leads a curator talk on Tuesday, December 1, exploring the exhibition Milestones: The Hope & John L. Furth Collection. It runs from 11:30 AM to noon, and it's included with admission.
Milestones draws on more than 250 artworks representing a range of Indigenous artistic traditions, including pottery, textiles, fetishes, baskets, and beadwork. It opened on November 20, 2026, and is the first in a series of exhibitions leading up to the Heard Museum's 100th birthday. The collection itself comes from a major gift to the museum, and the exhibition is built around that.
Pardue's talk takes a closer look at the exhibition and at how that gift has shaped, and will continue to shape, the museum's collections for generations to come. It's a chance to hear the curator's perspective on the work and the broader impact of the collection on the museum's holdings.
