Afternoon of Mexican banda and norteño music with Banda Machos, Tierra Cali, Grupo Exterminador and Keith Nieto at Rancho Ochoa, with free admission for under-10s.
Banda Machos headline a full afternoon of banda and norteño at Rancho Ochoa on Saturday, October 17, 2026. They're sharing the bill with Tierra Cali, Viry Sandoval, Keith Nieto (billed as El Rey Del Sax), and Grupo Exterminador. It's a long lineup, and the whole thing starts in the afternoon, so it's more of a day-long thing than a late-night show.
Banda Machos have been around since the early '90s. They debuted with the cassette album Serían las Dos, but they really broke through with Sangre de Indio, which featured the quebradita style that took off on the Los Angeles Latin circuit back then. In 1993, they picked up Univisión's Lo Nuestro award for Revelation of the Year (Mexican/Regional), and in 1995, they won the Furia Musical award for Best Mexican Band. Their track "ZapaMambo" ended up in Francis Ford Coppola's 1994 film My Family, and their 2006 album 20 Mil Heridas earned a Grammy nomination for Best Banda Album. They're the big name on the bill, and the rest of the lineup fills out the afternoon.

The organizers are calling it "the concert of the year" at Rancho Ochoa, bringing together several bandas and norteño acts for a mix of energetic corridos and dance-ready songs. It's an all-ages show, and kids under 10 get in free, so it's the kind of thing you can bring the whole family to. The music starts at 3 PM at Rancho Ochoa, 6638 W Broadway Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85043. General admission is $80 plus $7.50 in service fees, for $87.50 total.
