Silly Goose, the Atlanta trio that fuses heavy metal, hip-hop and alternative, plays Warehouse On Watts on the Set It Off Tour, with Cheem and Muttlee.
Silly Goose play Warehouse On Watts on Sunday, November 1, as part of The Set It Off Tour. They're bringing Cheem and Muttlee along for the bill, so it's a full night rather than just a single act. The band comes from Atlanta, and the sound they're working with mixes heavy metal, hip-hop, and alternative—the kind of crossover that puts them in a different lane than your standard metal act.
They've been at this since high school, when the trio put out their first EP, The Goose Is Out Of The Bag, before graduating in 2021. That was followed by their independent LP, The Streets Heard It First. In 2024 they signed to Blue Grape Music and recorded their second album, Keys To The City, with GRAMMY Award-winning producer Josh Wilbur, who has worked with Korn, Megadeth, and A Day To Remember. The Philadelphia date is one stop on The Set It Off Tour, so they'll be pulling from that new record alongside their earlier material.
Behind the music is a three-piece lineup: Jackson Foster on vocals, Alan Benikhis on drums, and Ian Binion on guitar. Foster has pointed to Rage Against the Machine, Limp Bizkit, Mudvayne, and Slipknot as early influences, and you can hear that lineage in the way they lean into the heavier side of things while keeping the hip-hop energy in the mix. The band has drawn praise from the Chicago Sun-Times, LoudWire, Metal Injection, and Revolver.
