Concert by the stoner metal band High on Fire at Underground Arts in Philadelphia.
High on Fire play Underground Arts on Wednesday, October 28. The Oakland stoner metal band is fronted by Matt Pike, and this is their Philadelphia date.
If you're not familiar, High on Fire is a power trio that's been a fixture of the stoner metal scene for over two decades. They're known for a heavy, riff-driven sound that pulls from doom metal and traditional heavy metal, with Pike's distinct vocals leading the way. They've built their reputation on a loud, driving approach that doesn't leave much room for silence, and they're bringing that same energy to the stage here.

Underground Arts is the venue, and the show falls on a Wednesday night, so it's a mid-week date rather than a weekend one. Tickets went on sale Friday, September 25, at 10 AM, so they've been available for a while now. If you've been following them, you know what to expect: heavy riffs and a loud room. If you're new to them, this is a good place to start.
