Benefit concert for Philadelphia music icon Carolyn Haynes, headlined by Mannequin Pussy with Philadelphia bands Dark Thoughts, KulfiGirls, Commitment and Cult Objects.
Mannequin Pussy headline The First Unitarian Church on Wednesday, October 28, for a benefit for Philadelphia music icon and former tour manager Carolyn Haynes, who is undergoing treatment for stage 3 breast cancer. All proceeds from the night go toward her medical expenses.
Fronted by Marisa Dabice, Mannequin Pussy works raw emotion into cathartic, razor-sharp rock that moves between fury, vulnerability and defiant joy, blurring the lines between punk, indie rock and pop across albums like Patience, Perfect and I Got Heaven. They're the main draw, but the rest of the bill is a full Philly lineup. Dark Thoughts play as a Ramones band; KulfiGirls, fronted by Abi Natesh, weave the South Indian Saraswati veena into a "carnatic rock" sound; Commitment is guitarists Jake Smith and Pierce Jordan with bassist Zach Bailey and vocalist Tati Salazar, formerly of The Childlike Empress and Le Siren; and Cult Objects are a post-punk band whose 2026 album Amulet followed 2022's Secrets of Pain-Free Living.
