Free all-ages Victorian-themed festival with a Ferris wheel, blacksmith forge, suffragette parade, penny farthings, Victorian magic shows and stalls, with activities run by Cheney's Museum Council students.
Cheney School is hosting a Victorian Festival on Thursday 22 October, from 3.30pm to 5.30pm. It's built for all ages, with a wide range of performances, stalls, activities and workshops. The whole thing is themed on the Victorian era, and it draws in a number of local museums and organisations.
There's a fair bit to see. A Ferris Wheel will be running, and a blacksmith forge will be working. You'll find Walking Forest Suffragettes and penny farthings, and three Victorian magic shows throughout the afternoon — one at 3.05pm, one at 4pm and one at 5pm. Alongside those are stalls and creative activities run by Cheney's Museum Council students, so there's plenty to do if you're not just watching.
