Tony Hadley brings his Christmas Big Band Tour to the New Theatre Oxford, singing swing and crooner classics from Sinatra, Bennett and Presley.
Tony Hadley brings his Christmas Big Band Tour to New Theatre Oxford on Thursday 12 November, as part of a UK run that opens on 7 November and carries on through to 4 December. It's a swing and crooner set, with the songbooks of Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Elvis Presley at the centre of it, and it's billed as a night out just before Christmas.
Hadley is one of the UK's most recognisable voices, and this show plays to that: the crooning, swing style suits his singing voice and his way of working a room as a raconteur and showman. The set leans on the great songbooks of Sinatra, Bennett, Presley and other swing and crooner greats, and it's presented as a night out just before Christmas. It forms part of a UK tour running from 7 November to 4 December 2026.
The venue is New Theatre Oxford on George Street, which has stood on the same site for almost 170 years. The first theatre opened in 1836, a second in 1886 and the third in 1934; now owned by the Ambassador Theatre Group, it stages everything from ballet and opera to musicals. It's seating only, with under-14s required to sit next to an adult and under-3s not admitted.
