Paddy Young: Will Sir Be Laughing Alone?

Paddy Young brings his new show, Will Sir Be Laughing Alone?, to The North Wall Arts Centre on Tuesday 10 November. It's a stand-up night with Young as the sole bill, and he's touring it across the country, so this is one of the dates that comes to Oxford.

You might recognise the name from Saturday Night Live UK, where he's a regular. He's also done his own stand-up special, Hungry. Horny. Scared., and appeared in Mitchell & Webb Are Not Helping and Everyone Else Burns. The critics have been on him since early on — The Independent called him one of British comedy's most intriguing new voices, and Rolling Stone put him down as surely on the road to stardom. This is a brand new show, so it's fresh material rather than a best-of from the old stuff.

It's a full evening's run: the show starts at 7.30pm and lasts an hour and fifty minutes, with an interval in the middle to stretch your legs. Tickets are £22. The North Wall is on South Parade in Summertown, OX2 7JN, so it's easy enough to get to if you're coming from the city centre. One thing to keep in mind: the show is recommended for ages 16 and over.
