Small beer and music festival with Little Ox beers, German sausages and local music at the Jericho canal-side space.
Little Ox is bringing Oktoberfest to Mount Place in Jericho on Saturday 17 October, from 12 noon to 5.30 pm. It's a small beer and music festival held at their restored canal-side community space, built around Little Ox beers, German sausages and local music. The afternoon runs whatever the weather, so it's one you can plan for regardless of what the autumn sky decides to do.
As the name suggests, the beer is the starting point. Little Ox is a brewery, and their own beers are at the heart of the day, alongside German sausages and local bands playing throughout. There are also stalls to browse, so it's as much about the food and the shopping as it is about the music. The whole thing is set in that canal-side space in Jericho, which gives it a distinct feel from a pub or a hall.
It's an afternoon rather than an evening, so it's easy to fit in without taking up your whole Saturday. The music comes from local bands, and the beer and sausages are the main draw, with the stalls filling in the gaps. If you're in Jericho or nearby on the day, it's a straightforward one to drop into for a few hours.
