Weekly Tuesday life drawing session with models, music and a bar at Common Ground Workspace, a café and social working space in Oxford.
Common Ground Workspace is hosting a life drawing session on Tuesday 20 October, from 7:00 to 9:00pm. It's not a one-off, either — this is part of a series that runs through the autumn and winter, with further sessions on Tuesday 3 November, Tuesday 17 November, Tuesday 1 December, and Tuesday 15 December. If you're just starting out or want to get back into a regular rhythm, there's a good stretch of dates to work with.
The setup is straightforward: models pose, you draw. The organisers describe it as life drawing with music, a bar, and "the best models around," and they bill the venue as "the coolest in Oxford." It's the kind of night that works as well as a solo trip to clear your head as it does as a social thing to do with friends.
Knowing the space helps set the scene. Common Ground Workspace is a café and social working space built on coffee, kindness, courtesy, sustainability, and creativity, with a stated purpose of supporting the community and student mental health. Down in its basement vault is Curio Books And Culture, a bookshop and cultural space. It's a creative hub by design, so a life drawing night fits right in.
