Musical tour of Layton Williams' stage career, with music, dance and behind-the-scenes stories from his Olivier Award-winning journey.
Layton Williams brings Layton Live to the Oxford Playhouse on Monday 22 March 2027. It's a musical tour of his stage career, marking almost 20 years since he made his professional debut in Billy Elliot.
The show works as a retrospective, taking you through the productions that have shaped his career. You'll hear from Titanique, Cabaret, Everybody's Talking About Jamie and Hairspray, and he also looks back at his run on Strictly Come Dancing. It's not just a run-through of the roles, though; he mixes the music and dance with behind-the-scenes stories and some of the biggest moments from his journey so far. He's backed by a company of performers, combining vocals, choreography and personal accounts from his time in theatre and television.

If you've followed him since the Billy Elliot days, it's a chance to see where those early years led. If you've only come to him more recently, it puts his later work into context. The whole thing runs about an hour and 50 minutes, including the interval, so it's a full evening rather than a short set. Tickets are on sale soon, so keep an eye on the Oxford Playhouse site if you want to get yours early.
