Weekly drop-in session for adults over 18 to practise speaking and listening in another language with other learners, with no teacher.
Language Café is back at Oxford Westgate Library on Wednesday 21 October, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. It's a weekly drop-in run by Oxfordshire Libraries in a community space, open to anyone who wants to practise speaking another language.
There's no lesson plan and no teacher at the front. Instead, it's just relaxed conversation with other people doing the same thing. It's described as a safe space for adults to meet and swap languages while practising speaking and listening, and speakers of all levels are welcome, whether you're just starting out or keeping a language alive. The session is open to adults over 18, and it's also held at several other libraries across the county, so if you can't make this one, there are other opportunities nearby.
