Live grindcore gig by Wormrot, head of the Mechanised Warfare Tour, at Saltbox in Nottingham.
Wormrot play Saltbox on Thursday 12 November, as part of their Mechanised Warfare Tour. It's a Singapore-based grindcore band, and if you're not familiar with the sound, it's exactly what the name suggests: intense, high-energy, and fast. The instrumental work is played at a breakneck pace, and the performances are powerful and direct, right in line with the grindcore tradition.
They're touring under the Mechanised Warfare banner, so the set will be built around that. Grindcore is a genre that doesn't do half-measures — it's all about speed, short songs, and a lot of noise delivered in a short space of time. If you've never seen them live, that's a good starting point for what to expect: a loud, fast set that doesn't let up.
