LGBTQIA+ spotlight stand-up showcase of the Nottingham Comedy Festival with eight LGBTQIA+ comedians, 18+.
Saltbox hosts the Nottingham Comedy Festival Spotlight Showcase: LGBTQIA+ on Sunday 1 November, a dedicated afternoon of stand-up that brings together eight LGBTQIA+ comedians on one bill. It's one of the festival's spotlight showcases, which are designed to put a particular community or theme centre stage rather than mixing everything into a general line-up.
Ada Campe opens the show, and Chloe Reynolds headlines, with Eden Voss, Alias Grace, Phebe Chan, Jessi Bates-McIntyre, Lydia Frost and Jonah Davis filling the gaps in between. With eight acts in 90 minutes, each comedian gets a decent slot to work with, and the whole thing runs as a single afternoon session rather than a long night of separate sets. It's a good way to catch a fair few names in one go if you're not sure who to see first.
Beyond the line-up, there's a bit of background worth knowing. The show is supported by Arts Council England, and it carries an 18+ age recommendation, so it's an adults-only afternoon. It's part of the wider Nottingham Comedy Festival, which runs across the city, so this is one of several shows you can slot into a larger festival weekend if you're planning to see more.
