A showcase of local dance companies, schools and crews rooted in street dance and hip hop culture, championing Nottingham's dance scene.
Unite The Scene comes to the Royal Concert Hall on Saturday 21 November, a dance showcase that brings together the city's local dance companies, schools, crews and individual artists. It's rooted in street dance and hip hop culture, and it's built as a platform to celebrate, elevate and experience the local scene rather than a single act. The whole point is to get the different parts of the community on one stage, giving them a place to present their work and show what they've been working on.
That's why the line-up is a mix: you'll see established dance companies alongside local schools, crews and solo artists, all sharing the same bill. It's a broad cross-section of the street dance scene in Nottingham, rather than one particular style or group. The organisers describe it as a way to champion local talent and bring people together, with a focus on showing support and encouragement for growth within the local dance community. If you've got a favourite local crew or school, this is where they'll be performing.
