Working forum bringing together clients, contractors, consultants and researchers to examine how to implement Lean in construction projects and organisations.
The UK Lean Construction Industry & Research Forum is coming to The Level Nottingham on Friday 30 October, starting at 10:00. It's a gathering that pulls together clients, contractors, consultants, programme leaders and researchers, all in one room to look at what actually makes Lean implementation work at project, programme and organisational levels.
If you're not familiar with the term, the forum frames Lean Construction as a practical route to better flow, collaboration, learning and reliable delivery. It's pitched as a tool to help the construction sector manage digital transformation and the transition to net zero, while at the same time improving productivity, resilience and value. So, it's not just about the theory of Lean; it's about how it fits into the bigger shifts the industry is facing right now.
The day runs as a working forum rather than a series of long presentations. Concise, evidence-led contributions are followed by facilitated discussion, roadmap development and agreement on practical next steps. The idea is to move from hearing a point to talking it through and figuring out where to go from there, rather than just sitting and listening.
