Halloween gig by Torus, the project of Noel Ram, with support from wishburn and Super Mega Death Robot at The Grove in Sneinton Market.
Torus play The Grove on Saturday 31 October, with support from wishburn and Super Mega Death Robot. It's a Halloween night, and they're in town to play in support of their Take Me Home EP, sharing the bill with some of the city's best young up-and-coming new rock bands.
If you're not familiar with the name, Torus is the project of Noel Ram, a musician who also works as Leon Mar and Arcon 2. His output pulls from a wide spread of styles — jazz step, darkcore, electronic, progressive rock and dubstep — and for this show he's backed by Allan Ritter on drums and Adam Smith on bass. It's a rock and indie gig, so that's the live band you'll see on the night.
The support acts, wishburn and Super Mega Death Robot, bring the evening out to a full bill of three bands. With Torus playing in support of Take Me Home, the set will lean on the new EP, and the whole thing is billed as a Halloween celebration, so it's a good one to keep in mind if you're looking for something to do that Saturday night.
