Stand-up show by Tony Law, presented by NCF Comedy at The Canalhouse during the Nottingham Comedy Festival.
Tony Law is at The Canalhouse on Sunday 8 November, playing a work-in-progress set. It's part of the Nottingham Comedy Festival, which runs from Friday 30 October to Sunday 8 November 2026, and this is the festival's 18th year. The night is presented by NCF Comedy, the same outfit that runs regular comedy across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, pairing some of the UK's top names with up-and-coming acts.
Law is a comedian who draws on his television experience, having appeared on shows like Buzzcocks and Have I Got News For You. He describes his act as a man doing absurd, silly comedy with his voice, face and limbs, with a fair amount about crows and cats (though not together), and he likes to remind audiences that he used to be on telly. As a work-in-progress, this is new material being tried out on a live crowd rather than a polished, finished show.
If you're looking for more, NCF Comedy also runs an award-winning £1 Comedy Night every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at The Canalhouse, so there's plenty of comedy around the city beyond the festival dates. The room is 16 and over.
