Free live gig by Nottingham folk-grass and alt country band The Most Ugly Child at Billy Bootleggers on Weekday Cross.
The Most Ugly Child play Billy Bootleggers on Saturday 21 November, a Nottingham band whose sound stretches across folk, Americana and country. They're billed as one of the best alt-country and folk-grass outfits in the land, and Maverick Mag once called them 'the British folkgrass revolution'. They've built their name on a live show that gets hearts racing and feet dancing, so if you're into that side of things, this is one to keep on your radar.
The night is presented by Billy Bootleggers, the dive bar on Weekday Cross formerly known as Percy Picklebackers. It's a spot that keeps the music going long after the band has finished, with resident DJs playing until 3am, so the live set is just the start of the evening rather than the whole of it.
