Weekly Friday-night party with live bands and resident DJs at Billy Bootleggers on Weekday Cross.
The Goodness is back at Billy Bootleggers on Friday 30 October, the latest in their weekly run of Friday nights. It's the venue's regular fixture, pairing live bands with resident DJs, and the bookings change from week to week. One night it might be a rockin' Rockabilly band, the next a New Orleans-style brass band, with the DJs taking over once the live set wraps up.
Billy Bootleggers is at 13-15 Weekday Cross, NG1 2GB — it used to be Percy Picklebackers, so if you're still thinking of it by the old name, that's the one. The night runs long, too: doors open at 4pm, and happy hour runs from 4pm to 8pm, so you can get in early and settle in before the music starts. Live music kicks off at 9pm, and the DJs take over from around 11pm, keeping the floor going until 3am.

Because it's a weekly thing, the live act is different every time, and the DJs carry it through to the early hours. Entry is free, so you can roll in whenever suits you — early for the happy hour, or later for the live music and the DJs. Doors at 4pm, happy hour 4pm-8pm, live music from 9pm, DJs from 11pm-ish, and open until 3am.
