Free plant-based Filipino meal served at the Corner Café in New Art Exchange, part of its monthly 'The Community Kitchen' series.
The Filipino Kitchen takes over the New Art Exchange on Thursday 3 December, from 17:00 to 19:00. It's the latest instalment of The Community Kitchen, the Corner Café's monthly series at the exchange, which serves plant-based dishes from a different culture on the first Thursday of every month. This time, the focus is on Filipino cuisine.
Meals are served from 5 pm, and drinks are available to buy at the café. The galleries stay open late, so you can wander through the exhibitions before or after you eat. The session is open to everyone, and no one is turned away for lack of funds. Tickets are first-come, first-served, and they're used to help the kitchen estimate attendance rather than to guarantee food, as only a limited number of portions are prepared.
The event is held in the Corner Café, inside the New Art Exchange at 39-41 Gregory Boulevard, Nottingham NG7 6BE. The exchange itself is a contemporary arts space and the largest centre in the UK dedicated to culturally diverse arts, aiming to stimulate new perspectives on the value of diversity in art and society with free exhibitions, talks, workshops and family activities.
