The Black Achievers Awards 2026

The Black Achievers Awards return to Nottingham on Saturday 24 October, held at the Crowne Plaza Nottingham by IHG on Wollaton Street. It's part of Black History Month 2026, and the night is all about recognising the achievements, leadership and contributions of Black individuals across the community.

Honorary Alderman Merlita Bryan presents the awards, which celebrate people whose work, determination and commitment are making a positive difference across professional, cultural and community life. A good part of the appeal is that they provide a platform for those whose work often happens within businesses, voluntary organisations, neighbourhoods and local communities without ever getting wider recognition. It's a chance to see that work brought into the light.

The evening combines recognition, entertainment and networking, and it's open to anyone aged 18 and over. It's as much about the people in the room as it is about the awards themselves, so it's a night for catching up with old faces and meeting new ones from across the city.

It runs from 5:30pm through to 1:00am at the Crowne Plaza Nottingham by IHG, Wollaton Street, Nottingham NG1 5RH, and tickets are £71.
