The 12 Pubs of Christmas Challenge 2026

The 12 Pubs of Christmas Challenge kicks off at Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem on Saturday 5 December, with the first stop starting at 17:45. It's run by The Mavericks, and the whole thing takes you through Nottingham city centre, starting right beside Nottingham Castle.

The format is straightforward: you get into a team and follow a route through twelve different pubs. At every stop, you record a short video, changing the number each time to keep track of where you are and capture the evening as it unfolds. The night is built around games, the chance to challenge the Captain of the Night, and group photographs along the way. There are also surprise rewards for creativity, teamwork, and festive spirit, so it's as much about how you handle the route as it is about the pubs themselves.

Because it's a pub crawl through the city centre, you'll be moving from one spot to the next rather than staying put, and the starting point at Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem puts you right in the heart of things. It's a social one, and the video element means you'll have a record of the night to look back on once it's over.
