Improv comedy show by Little John Improv, presented by NCF Comedy, in which the audience explores the strange case files of the Institute's Dark Archive.
Tales From The Darkive comes to Fishergate Point Studios on Saturday 31 October, part of the Little John Improv Weekend presented by NCF Comedy. It's an improv show that opens up the strange case files buried in the Institute's Dark Archive, and the descriptions of what's inside give you a good sense of the territory it covers: a clock that ticks like death, a lost dimension in a car park lift, and a dog that might have a gun. The whole thing is made up on the spot, so the specific stories will be different every night.
The premise is built on the idea that when confronted with the true horrors of the universe, the human psyche's only response is uncontrollable laughter. It's an improv show that leans into the weird and the unsettling, and the case files are the starting point for the performers to build out from. The whole thing is put on by Little John Improv, and it sits within the wider Little John Improv Weekend, so this is one of several improv nights running across the city that weekend.

It's for ages 16 and over, so keep that in mind if you're bringing a younger crowd. Doors open at 8:40pm and the show starts at 9:00pm, which is a bit later than your average Saturday night, so it's more of a late-night one than an early evening. General admission is £7.00, and that comes to £7.70 with the booking fee included. The venue is Fishergate Point Studios, Point3 Fisher Gate, NG1 1GD, right in the city centre.
