Sunday Board Games Socials

Games Haven is hosting its Sunday Board Games Social on Sunday 18 October, a drop-in afternoon that runs from 12:00 at 92 Lower Parliament Street in Nottingham. It's a weekly gathering, so if you can't make this one, there'll be another the following Sunday.

The social is open to everyone, from newcomers who've never touched a board game to seasoned players who know their way around a rulebook. The venue keeps hundreds of games on hand, ranging from party hits that work with a crowd to deeper strategy games for when you're in the mood to settle in. If you're not sure where to start, there are resident board game gurus on hand to talk you through the rules and help you find a game that fits your group.

Games Haven itself is Nottingham's dedicated community hub for tabletop gaming, combining retail, organised play and inclusive events for players of all ages and abilities. The Sunday social is its weekly drop-in session, and the organisers describe it as a pressure-free, welcoming home base for discovery and laughter, whether you're coming with friends or looking to meet some new ones. Because it's a drop-in, you can turn up whenever suits you from midday onwards.

Entry is free, so there's no need to book ahead. You'll find it at Games Haven, 92 Lower Parliament Street, Nottingham, NG1 1EH, open from 12:00 on Sunday 18 October.
