Free 18+ ska and soul night with live set by Storm Warning, followed by DJs until 3am at Billy Bootleggers.
Storm Warning are back at Billy Bootleggers on Saturday 31 October, their return to the Weekday Cross in Nottingham. They're a seven-piece upbeat soulful ska band, and this one is billed as a 'spooktacular ska party' in an intimate venue setting. The night runs for three and a half hours, from 20:00 to 23:00, and DJs keep the party going until 3am.
Their sound draws on ska, reggae and northern soul, and they've built their set around that upbeat, danceable side of the genre. The band is seven strong, so there's a full horn section in the mix, and the whole thing is designed to get people moving rather than just listening from a table. It's the kind of night that works best when you're on your feet.
They're returning to Billy Bootleggers, on the Weekday Cross in the city centre — a room formerly known as Percy Picklebackers that programmes ska and soul acts. It's a small venue, so you'll be close to the stage, and the music is the main focus of the night. The band's return to the spot fits right in with the kind of nights the room is known for.

The band plays from 20:00 to 23:00, and the DJs take over from there, keeping the floor going until 3am.
