Live duo of guitarist Steve Malley and saxophonist Raymond MacDonald of freewheeling improvisation and instant composition in an intimate venue in Sneinton Market.
Steve Malley and Raymond Macdonald are back in Nottingham on Thursday 22 October, playing at By Our Hands We Make Our Way in Sneinton Market. It's their second show in the city, following a debut at The King Billy back in January.
It's a guitar and saxophone duo, and the two come from different backgrounds. Malley is a guitarist whose work has appeared in The Unit Ama, The Horse Loom and S.A. Mallety. Macdonald is a saxophonist and composer. Together they cover a fair bit of ground: freewheeling improvisation and instant composition on one end, dissonance and melody on the other. The performance is staged in an intimate venue setting, so you'll be close to the music.
