Taskmaster champion Sophie Duker brings her 2027 stand-up tour 'Hot Beef Injection' to Canalhouse.
Sophie Duker is coming to Canalhouse on Sunday 18 April 2027, with her new tour Hot Beef Injection. If you've followed her for a while, you'll know her as a Taskmaster champion and an Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer nominee, though she describes herself as a retired sugar daughter.
Hot Beef Injection is billed as a brand-new 2027 tour, and the material is as specific as the title. She's talking about hypermasculinity, heavy-handed handymen, and the 'Would You Rather: Man or Bear?' question, while working through the primal fear that drives her distrust of heterosexual he/hims. It's a show where she dares to be both sexy and political at once.
Beyond the stand-up, she's worked across a fair few formats. She's appeared on Frankie Boyle's New World Order on BBC2, Riot Girls on Channel 4, and 8 Out of 10 Cats on E4, and she co-hosts GrownUpLand on BBC Radio 4. She also created the comedy night Wacky Racists, which got a recommendation from the Evening Standard. The critics have been on her side too: Rolling Stone called her 'obscenely good', The Scotsman 'extremely funny', and The Skinny and The Herald both described her as a 'comedic powerhouse'.
