The West End musical about disco diva Deloris Van Cartier, with Paul Chuckle as Monsignor O'Hara, comes to the Theatre Royal.
Sister Act returns to the Theatre Royal in Nottingham, running from Monday 17 January to Saturday 22 January 2028. It's a West End musical about Deloris Van Cartier, a disco diva whose life takes a turn when she witnesses a murder and is hidden away in a convent. While there, she inspires the sisters to find their true voices, and the show follows the friendship and musical triumph that grow from it.
The score is by Tony and eight-time Oscar winner Alan Menken, known for Aladdin and Enchanted, with songs drawing on Motown, soul and disco. The production runs two hours and 30 minutes, with a 20-minute interval. Age guidance is 8+, and under-14s need to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.
Zoe Birkett takes the lead as Deloris Van Cartier, with Craig Revel Horwood as Mother Superior and Paul Chuckle as Monsignor O'Hara, though the cast is subject to change. The show has been described as 'an irresistibly great time' by The Independent, 'a heavenly hit show' by the Mail On Sunday and 'the most feel-good show of the year' by The Sun.
