Singles Afternoon Social (Ages 50+)

The Magic Garden hosts a Singles Afternoon Social for people aged 50+ on Sunday 6 December, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. It's run by Single & Mingle, a community for singles over 35 who want to broaden their social circle and make new friends without the pressure of dating or the search for 'the one'.

The format is kept low-pressure: you check in with a host, head to the bar, and then mingle in the event space. If it's your first time, you sign up for a free membership on the Single & Mingle website and get a welcome credit towards your first meetup. These mixers run regularly throughout the year across Nottingham, in venues ranging from cosy pub function rooms to arts centres, and they lean on ice-breakers and structured activities to get people talking rather than leaving you to figure it out on your own.

This one is specifically for the over-50s, so you'll be in a room with people in your own age group. The whole thing runs for two and a half hours on a Sunday afternoon, and tickets start from £10. The venue is The Magic Garden at Aveda Nottingham, Middle Hill, Nottingham, NG1 2.
