Art-punk band Shtëpi and post-punk electronica act Pretty Windows play Billy Bootleggers in Nottingham.
Shtëpi play Billy Bootleggers on Friday 23 October, with Pretty Windows opening. Shtëpi are a five-piece art-punk band who bring their post-punk sound live in energetic performances and extensive touring across southern England. They've shared stages with Geese, Personal Trainer and Lounge Society, and their music appeals to fans of Viagra Boys and The Birthday Party, blending chaotic instrumentation with experimental arrangements.
Pretty Windows take the first slot. They're a two-piece post-punk electronica act whose sound is built on loops, beats, sparse guitar work and distinctive basslines layered with spoken-word narratives. Between the two, the night covers a fair bit of ground within the post-punk orbit, from Pretty Windows' loop-driven electronica to Shtëpi's more chaotic, art-punk approach.
