SexyTadhg plays The Bodega on his 'SLUTTRAD' tour, with special guests Cheap Dirty Horse, in a strictly 18+ night.
SexyTadhg plays The Bodega on Thursday 22 October, one date on a 14-stop run across the UK and Ireland called SLUTTRAD. The tour comes alongside the release of TADHG, a genre-blurring EP that the Carlow-born, bilingual, multi-instrumentalist frames as traditional Irish music intrinsically entwined with queer culture.
It's a hard set to pin down. 1883 Magazine describes the live show as a euphoric blend of big band jazz, theatrical soul, and dazzling pop, bursting with brass, keys, layered harmonies, and a groove-rich rhythm section. Hotpress puts it more simply as theatrical disco music at its finest. Between the two, you get the sense of a big, brassy sound that doesn't sit still, and the TADHG EP is the new material the tour is built around.
SexyTadhg isn't alone on the bill; special guests Cheap Dirty Horse open the night. The whole thing is strictly 18+, so keep that in mind if you're bringing a younger crowd along.
