Live show by Seven Dark Lords, playing Americana and alt-country with a blues and rock'n'roll flavour, followed by a DJ until 3am.
Seven Dark Lords play Billy Bootleggers on Saturday 24 October, with doors opening at 20:00 and the band on stage at 21:00. It's a night presented by the venue itself, and the live set is followed by a DJ playing out until a 3am close, so it's one of those evenings that starts as a gig and stretches well into the early hours.
If you're not familiar with them, Seven Dark Lords play Americana and alt-country with a blues and rock'n'roll flavour. They describe their sound as drawing on old country stars and acts like Wilco, The Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers and even Elvis. It's a broad stretch of influences, but it gives you a fair idea of the territory they cover: the storytelling of old country, the loose, ensemble feel of The Band, and the southern-rock grit of Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers, all held together by a rock'n'roll thread. If those names ring a bell, you'll know the kind of ground they're treading.
