Saves The Day play The Palais on their 25th anniversary tour of 'Stay What You Are', with support from Chastity and Turn Of Phrase.
Saves The Day are playing The Palais on Thursday 19 November, part of their Stay What You Are 25th anniversary tour. The whole album is played in full, and they're bringing along Chastity and Turn Of Phrase to open the night.
For those who know the name but not the record, Saves The Day are from Princeton, New Jersey, fronted by Chris Conley. They're widely regarded as a defining voice of the emo sound, and their 1999 album Through Being Cool is often cited as a timeless record, with songs born of Conley's emotional vulnerability said to have soundtracked millions of lives. Stay What You Are was one of their landmark releases, and this tour marks twenty-five years since it first came out.
The support acts fit the bill too: Chastity and Turn Of Phrase are both bands that helped shape the post-hardcore landscape, so the whole night stays within that same orbit. The show is for ages 14 and over, with under-16s needing to be accompanied by an adult.
