Mobile theatrical performance led by guide Ezekial Bone that walks the places linked to the Robin Hood legend, ending at Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem.
The Robin Hood Town Tour runs every first and third Saturday of the month, starting at The Cross Keys pub on Byard Lane. It's led by Ezekial Bone, who takes on the role of the outlaw himself, walking you through the city on a trail that's more of a mobile theatrical performance than a standard historical walk. There's comedy, drama and action-adventure woven in, and Bone has been described by critics as a convincing personality in the part.
The route hits several spots tied to the legend and Nottingham's history: the Lace Market, the Old County Gaol, St Mary's Church, Broadway, Hockley and the Saxon caves that run beneath the streets. It all ends with an invite to share an ale at Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem, which is called the oldest pub in England. The tour has picked up plenty of awards and praise from the BBC, CBS News and ZDF TV along the way.
