Double bill of improv duos by Little John Improv, with 'Play It Again' and 'Mouse-Trapped', for ages 16 and over.
Little John Improv are bringing a double bill of improv duos to Fishergate Point Studios on Sunday 1 November, with two separate shows on one ticket. The night is called Play It Again / Mouse-trapped, and it's for ages 16 and over.
The first half, Play It Again, follows Sam and Emily, two immortal beings who have spent their lives bringing lounge music to the world. They'll be performing luscious love songs and sharing gossip about historical figures, so it's as much about the music as the stories they tell. The second half, Mouse-trapped, takes a different turn: two characters are sent on an adventure inside the world of the audience's favourite board game, landing them in places like the library world of Boggle or the wintery planes of ICECOOL. Since it's improv, the board game they end up in depends on what the crowd brings to the table, so the second half will be different every time.
Fishergate Point Studios is on the corner near Nottingham Arena, and you'll recognise it by the artwork in its windows. Inside, it's more than just a gig venue: there's a cafe bar, an artisan shop, music studios, and a series of workshop spaces. It's also home to Circle of Light, Nottingham's music project for young people.
